RECEIVING LOVE LETTERS

How many of us have received love letters from that special someone who we were interested in; were already in a relationship with; or married to; and it made us feel warm and gooey inside, outside and all over? I think all of us have experienced that at least once in our lives. It seems no matter how tall; short; thin; thick; dark or light skinned; long or short haired the individual was, (s)he was our special ‘boo.’

We read the love letter over and over again; set it to rap or to music; read and deciphered each word carefully to get a clear understanding of what our love interest was saying to us; and even pictured our ‘boo’ in his or her deep contemplation while (s)he was writing the letter to us; Hmmmmmm. Then, we felt compelled to write our ‘boo’ back, without asking for anything in return; only expressing our mutual love in return.

God has written sixty-six books/volumes of love letters to ALL OF US, entitled the Holy Bible. It is a collection of books which explains His love unto EACH OF US, and reveals how we can live with Him eternally.

The awesome thing about God’s love for us is that He sent His Son, Jesus, to shed His Blood as a onetime sacrifice for our sins. No longer do we have to have priests to offer regular animal sacrifices of atonement for our sins. Jesus has paid the price, ONCE AND FOR ALL. “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8. KJV)

Our Father knows what we have need of. (Matthew 6:31-33. KJV)
Let’s try sometimes writing God back through prayer, without asking for anything material in return; only expressing our mutual love to Him.
