We Are Important To God!
How many times throughout our lives have we had a long-term trial or tribulation, which we had struggled with for many years; so much so that individuals who viewed us from the outside, such as co-workers, church members, school mates, neighbors, etc. thought this struggle we had encountered simply constituted our behavioral makeup.
For example, we may have been in an unhappy relationship, marriage or life stage; perhaps, we had been confronted with sickness in our body, ailment in our spirit, or a mental syndrome. The point is that whatever the malady, within our selves we had known without a doubt that the situation was temporary; no matter how long the hard pressed encounter had confronted us thus far, we had learned to view the trial as a spectator; knowing God had a plan for our lives.
" Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5.KJV)
In this scriptural reference, Jeremiah is declaring how God had purposed us and had set us apart for His glory and for the building of His Kingdom, even before the beginning of time, itself.
Often times it is we who delay our usefulness unto God's Kingdom through our disobedience to His Word, and through our constant (same 'ole) sin. [OUCH!] That hurts me! In times past, I have delayed the process of my being useful to God's Kingdom for many years.
PRAYER: I pray that God may continue to release the bondage of sin over my life so that I may become MORE useful to His Kingdom each day. Amen.
